Photo from FIBA</div>Gilas Pilipinas Women lost their second straight game in the 2026 FIBA Women&#x27;s World Cup Qualifying Tournament, bowing to Germany, 113-80, on early Friday morning (Philippine time).Just a day after the 49-point loss to Olympic silver medalist France, Gilas Women absorbed another beating, this time by World No. 12 Germany.  The Philippines was once again outclassed by Germany, led by an all-around performance from former UCLA Bruins star Emily Bessoir, who powered her team in the dominant win, tallying a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, along with three steals, two assists and two blocks.  Germany outscored Gilas Women in every quarter, with the lead ballooning to as much as 33 points in the contest.  The Filipinas were outrebounded anew 54-26, with Germany also dominating the paint with 52 points compared to 32 of the Philippines.&quot;It&#x27;s another hard battle, a tough game. I give my hats off to Germany, they played so superbly this first half. We couldn&#x27;t really match their talent. But then again, I&#x27;m still proud of the girls. They fought hard until the end. That&#x27;s the thing we&#x27;re happy about, because that&#x27;s the plan. But at the moment, the numbers are getting high with the other teams. We&#x27;re trying to stop that,&quot; he said.&quot;We know we&#x27;re learning here. But the learning has to stop. Not only they learn from me, I also learn from them. I&#x27;m excited for the younger generations that will play for the Philippines,&quot; she shared.After facing two European powerhouses, Gilas Women now hold a 0-2 loss in the qualifying tournament.Up next for Gilas Women is Nigeria, who are coming off a 77-60 loss against South Korea.  The clash between the Philippines and Nigeria will take place on Saturday, 9 p.m., Philippine time.
