Mikey Williams is now a FiberXer. 💪💜 Welcome to #PurpleNation!&quot; the post on Facebook read. </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/basketball/2025/6/2/pba-approves-mikey-williams-jordan-heading-swap-1220">READ: PBA approves Mikey Williams-Jordan Heading swap</a></div><p>The 34-year-old likewise posted on his Instagram story a photo of a tarpaulin of the team, showing him wearing a Converge jersey. </p><p>&quot;It&#x27;s all god. 🙏🏻 And just like that it begins,&quot; Williams wrote on his Instagram story.  </p><p>The two-time PBA champion is an additional weapon for a young Converge squad that also features Juan Gomez de Liaño, Alec Stockton, Justin Arana and Justine Baltazar.   </p><p>The FiberXers also reinforced their squad with a trade for veteran Calvin Abueva from the Titan Ultra Giant Risers and young gun Jonnel Policarpio from the NLEX Road Warriors.  </p><p>Williams last played for then-TNT Tropang Giga in the 2023 PBA Governors&#x27; Cup, before departing due to a contract dispute.  </p><p>During his time with TNT, Williams won two PBA championships, earned two Most Valuable Player awards, Rookie of the Year and scoring champion, among others.  </p><p>Since then, the two-time PBA champion only suited up for Strong Group Athletics in the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship in 2025. </p><p>Converge will begin its PBA 50 Commissioner&#x27;s Cup campaign against the Macau Black Bears in the mid-season conference&#x27;s opening game on March 11 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.  </p>
