We still have a long way to go, but it’s also a privilege for us to have a chance to help the national team prepare,” said UP deputy coach Christian Luanzon.Veejay Pre led the Fighting Maroons with 11 points, Gani Stevens posted nine points and eight rebounds, while Elliot Dimaculangan added nine as they handed Gilas its second straight loss in as many outings. Kyle Sardon paced Gilas with 20 points, while Ethan Aguas added 12 points and four rebounds. Bruce Tubongbanua chipped in 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists for the Nationals, who are preparing for the 2026 SEABA tournament. Meanwhile, National University overpowered an undermanned Adamson University side, 74-66, for its second win in three games.Mo Diassana tallied 11 points and eight rebounds, while PJ Palacielo also finished with 11 points and six boards.NU took control with a dominant third quarter to build a 65-43 cushion, which later ballooned to 24 points early in the fourth period.Noah Pacquiao starred for the Soaring Falcons despite the loss with 19 points.In the NCAA bracket, Colegio de San Juan de Letran and San Beda University also secured their second victories.Letran defeated San Sebastian College, 96-85, behind Daniel Sison-Walker’s 26 points and four rebounds to improve to 2-1.Chad Gammad added 16 points built on four three-pointers, while Syrex Silorio contributed 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Justine Hugo chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds as the Knights led by as many as 20 points.Ralph Gabat paced the Golden Stags with 20 points, eight rebounds, and two assists in the team’s second straight defeat.Meanwhile, San Beda crushed Lyceum of the Philippines University, 102-77, to remain unbeaten.Daniel Marcelo impressed with 17 points, four assists, and three rebounds, while Aldous Torculas added 15 points and five rebounds. Lawrence Hawkins also contributed 14 points and nine boards in the rout.Renz Villegas led the Pirates with 20 points, but LPU fell to 1-2.
