UAAP executive director Rebo Saguisag said Wednesday that Ateneo de Manila University “requested for privacy and space,” as public asks for clarity on coach Tab Baldwin&#x27;s coaching style in the Blue Eagles.The call comes amid social media outburst for accountability and transparency in the tragic drowning incident involving student-athletes Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili on June 8 in a team building activity joined by the Blue Eagles in Aurora.Multiple claims circulated on social media, including coaches allegedly putting weights on athletes -- to which <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/10/no-weights-attached-to-drowned-ateneo-athletes-aurora-pnp-1101">Aurora police </a>denied seeing on the bodies of Baterbonia and Adili. Malcolm Garma, CHED representatives, PSC commissioner Fritz Gaston, and National Youth Commission chair Jeff Ortega in a press conference on Wednesday as a stakeholders panel was installed to investigate the incident.Gregorio further stated that they will reach out to Ateneo to clear the air on the incident, and the school is &quot;willing&quot; to talk as well.&quot;Are we going to talk to Ateneo? Yes. Is Ateneo willing to talk to us? Yes,&quot; said Gregorio. The PSC chairman added that the government is handing out P250,000 to each of the families of Baterbonia and Adili.
