You remain, forever, our love. 🕊️🤍,&quot; she wrote.</p><p>The remains of Adili were flown from Manila on Monday, after the Ateneo de Manila University held a candlelight service, daily masses and public wake.</p><p>Adili and his teammate Rene Baterbonia passed away after drowning during a team-building activity in Dipaculao, Aurora last June 8. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/basketball/2026/6/22/ateneo-observes-40-day-mourning-period-following-adili-baterbonia-deaths-2359"><strong>READ: Ateneo observes 40-day mourning period following Adili, Baterbonia deaths<br/></strong></a></div><p>Ateneo is currently observing a 40-day mourning period following the passing of Adili and Baterbonia.  </p><p>Law enforcement agencies are investigating the deaths of the two students.  </p><p>The Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) on Friday announced it is recommending the filing of hazing charges against resigned Ateneo head coach Tab Baldwin and 10 others involved in the team-building activity in Aurora.</p><p>Ateneo said it &quot;acknowledged the CIDG&#x27;s recommendation and respect the work it has undertaken in the course of its investigation.&quot;</p><p>Ateneo spokesperson Fr. RB Hizon, SJ noted that other investigations remained ongoing and the university would &quot;continue to cooperate fully with all competent authorities.&quot;</p><p>He added that Ateneo would &quot;continue to support the families of those involved&quot; and &quot;strengthen the reforms already underway to help ensure that such a tragedy is never repeated.&quot;</p>
