PBA Media</div>MANILA (UPDATED) -- TNT is on the board in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner&#x27;s Cup Finals after holding on for a 101-94 win against Barangay Ginebra in Game 2 of their series, Friday evening at the Araneta Coliseum.The Tropang 5G led by as many as 21 points but had to weather a furious fourth quarter charge by the Gin Kings to equalize the best-of-7 series at one game apiece.Calvin Oftana was unstoppable, torching Ginebra for 31 points on 18 shots, including five three-pointers. He also had 10 rebounds in 40 minutes.Chris McCullough added a 19-point, 16-rebound double-double, while four other players reached double-digits for the Tropang 5G.TNT took a seemingly comfortable 81-59 advantage early in the forth quarter off an Oftana triple, but the Gin Kings reeled off one of their patented rallies to threaten to steal the game.Behind the work of their bench players, Ginebra got within striking distance before RJ Abarrientos returned to try and push them past the finish line. The guard knocked down back-to-back triples in between a McCullough free throw to make it 95-88, but Jordan Heading drilled a three-pointer of his own to restore a double-digit cushion, 98-88.A layup by Abarrientos sparked a 6-0 Ginebra run, capped by a finger roll by Justin Brownlee that put the Gin Kings within four points, 98-94, with still 58.6 seconds to go.Unfortunately for Ginebra, it turned out to be their last push. They got a stop on McCullough in TNT&#x27;s next possession, but Brownlee committed a turnover in their next trip down the court and two free throws by Oftana gave TNT the breathing room they needed to close out the game.&quot;Alam naman natin na &#x27;yung Ginebra talaga, magka-comeback talaga nang ganoon. So, &#x27;yung NSD nga nila, &#x27;di ba? Never say die na spirit nila. Pero I&#x27;m happy sa team na na-overcome &#x27;yun, &#x27;yung run ng Ginebra,&quot; said Oftana, praising his team&#x27;s composure.Brownlee finished with 24 points and 15 rebounds in the loss, while Abarrientos added 21 points. The Ginebra bench contributed 40 points, but a slow start put the Gin Kings on the back foot all throughout the contest and they ran out of time in the end game. Game 3 is on Sunday, June 7, at the Mall of Asia Arena. <div> </div><div> </div>
