Facebook/AsiaBasket.MANILA, Philippines — Four Philippine collegiate teams will face international opposition as the inaugural NSAC World Invitational brings together eight teams from four countries from August 14 to 16 at the PhilSports Arena.</div>The tournament features the University of Santo Tomas, San Beda University, Jose Rizal University, and Far Eastern University from the Philippines, along with Japan&#x27;s Fighting Eagles Nagoya and Tenri University, Taiwan&#x27;s National Formosa University, and Australia&#x27;s Elite Stacks AUS.UST heads into the tournament as the reigning NSAC champion, with Finals MVP Mark Llemit leading a lineup that also includes Collins Akowe and Amiel Acido.San Beda, meanwhile, enters the competition as the reigning NCAA Season 101 champion after securing its record-extending 24th men&#x27;s basketball title. The Red Lions will be led by RC Calimag, Aldous Torculas, and Dan Marcelo.JRU also brings recent championship form after winning the 2026 Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup, where the Heavy Bombers defeated San Beda in the final. Finals MVP Lawrence Mangubat and Chris Hubilla headline JRU&#x27;s lineup.FEU, which reached the NSAC quarterfinals, will feature Kirby Mongcopa, Janrey Pasaol, and Mohamed Konateh.The tournament could also give FEU fans another look at incoming rookie Cabs Cabonilas, who became the first player to win both the UAAP Boys Basketball Season MVP and Finals MVP awards in the same season after helping FEU-Diliman win the Season 88 title.Japan will be represented by teams from both the professional and collegiate levels.Fighting Eagles Nagoya, a B1 League club, will bring professional experience to the tournament. The club won the B2 championship in the 2021-22 season before earning promotion to Japan&#x27;s top division.Tenri University, meanwhile, enters as the reigning Kansai Collegiate Basketball Division I champion. Tenri went 14-0 in its 2025 campaign to win the title for the first time in 12 years, while allowing just 58.1 points per game.Taiwan&#x27;s National Formosa University will also compete after reaching the Final Four of the 2026 University Basketball Association Division I, where it finished fourth.Rounding out the field is Elite Stacks AUS, a select Australian squad formed through Elite AUS Basketball and Stacks Basketball. Its roster includes players with experience in Australian programs such as the Woodville Warriors, South West Slammers, West Adelaide Bearcats, and Perry Lakes Hawks, as well as U.S. collegiate programs Alabama A&amp;M University, Highland Community College, and Western Oklahoma State College.The tournament is presented in partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission and Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.The NSAC World Invitational runs from August 14 to 16 at the PhilSports Arena.
