Photo from NBA</div>Prince Cariño is currently taking part in the Basketball without Borders (BWB), a joint training camp by the National Basketball Association (NBA), the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), and the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF).Cariño, who is part of the top 78 high school-age prospects from 44 countries globally, flew from India where he was part of the country’s FIBA U18 team which competed in the FIBA U18 Asia Cup straight to Turkey to sharpen his basketball skills.A 6-foot-7 big man, Cariño plays center and power forward for Far Eastern University-Diliman, but has adjusted to being a small forward in international basketball. &quot;I&#x27;m playing the role na 3-and-D,&quot; said Cariño, referring to wing players who are tasked to defend the other team&#x27;s best perimeter players while also shooting open three-pointers. &quot;Mahirap. Makikita mo naman sa mga stands, andoon &#x27;yung mga naka polo na team nila, [Minnesota] Timberwolves, [Los Angeles] Lakers.&quot;Although he has played internationally in numerous FIBA competitions, the BWB camp is an eye-opener for the young big man.&quot;Malaki &#x27;yung difference,&quot; said Cariño, noting that he has played against teams from Korea, Japan and China and seen how they can influence his game.Locally, he idolizes former PBA Most Valuable Player James Yap and considers LeBron James as the greatest of all time.
