Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Brothers Carlos and Karl Eldrew Yulo during the 2024 PSA Awards Night, January 27, 2025 at the Manila Hotel. <em>Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA -- Brothers Carlos and Karl Eldrew Yulo are both looking to represent the Philippines in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, where they hope to build on the older gymnast&#x27;s successful campaign in Paris.</p><p>Carlos made history in 2024 when he won two gold medals -- in vault and floor exercise -- in the Paris Olympics to highlight the country&#x27;s most successful campaign.</p><p>For his unprecedented achievement, Carlos was named the 2024 Athlete of the Year by the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) on Monday night at the Manila Hotel. Always. I cried so much noong Olympics, siyempre that&#x27;s his dream and also my dream. So parang na-achieve niya rin &#x27;yung dream ko.&quot;</p><p>Carlos, who is training with his brother at The GAP Training Center in Intramuros, says Eldrew has made great progress in his skills.</p><p>&quot;Malaki po mga naging improvement niya sa training. Gumagaling na po siya sa mga favorite events niya. Super proud po,&quot; the two-time Olympian said.</p><script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAEyze-tm4MR6kEa&amp;cid=ABTnnT7MnicSBb6K&amp;activation=click&amp;vip_mode=playing&amp;vip_position=bottom-right"></script><p>Both of them are setting their sights on LA 2028, though Carlos acknowledges that the road will not be easy.</p><p>&quot;Posible po and sobrang saya po noon for sure na dalawa kaming makakatungtong ng Olympics at dalawa kaming magrerepresent ng Philippines,&quot; Carlos said. </p><p>&quot;Sobrang exciting at the same time magiging challenging. Para sa amin hindi po madali &#x27;yung process.
