Handout/PSC</div>MANILA – The City of Smiles will once again be the host of the Batang Pinoy next year.During the closing ceremony of the 2025 edition on Thursday, the Philippine Sports Commission announced that Bacolod City will be hosting the 2026 Batang Pinoy. &quot;Mga Batang Pinoy, handa na ba kayong mag-Masskara? Batang Pinoy 2026 Masskara Bacolod City!,&quot; PSC Chairperson Patrick &quot;Pato&quot; Gregorio said.<div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/othersports/2025/10/31/manila-pasig-in-tight-race-for-overall-crown-in-batang-pinoy-1959">Manila, Pasig in tight race for overall crown in Batang Pinoy </a> </div>Bacolod hosted the inaugural Batang Pinoy in 1999, as well as in 2001 and 2014.The last time a Visayan city hosted the Games was Cebu City in 2015.Bacolod&#x27;s upcoming hosting marks the return of Batang Pinoy to Visayas, following Palawan 2024 and General Santos City 2025. Gregorio likewise witnessed the turnover of the banner from General Santos City Mayor Lorelie Paquiao to Atty. Jose Marty Go, who represented Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya.&quot;It is just fitting for Bacolod to host the Batang Pinoy after several years, being among the pioneers of this grassroots sports program. I&#x27;m sure marami pang magiging produkto. Ito po ang isa sa pinakamalaking grassroots sports programs ng national government,&quot; he said.Nearly 20,000 athletes participated in 27 sporting events during the 2025 Batang Pinoy held in General Santos City from October 25-31.

The City of Smiles will once again be the host of the Batang Pinoy Games.
