Cariaso won the boys’ 1,500 meters in 4:00.10, while Mabelin finished the boys’ 3,000-meter race walk in 13:36.48.At the Aquatics Center, the swimming competitions saw league leaders Ateneo de Manila University and UP asserting their dominance in the men’s and women’s divisions, respectively, with new 100-meter backstroke records.Ateneo’s Ivo Enot reset his own record of 58.59 from last season with 58.45 in the morning preliminaries, fueling the Blue Eagles’ bid for a 10-peat title.Meanwhile, Season 86 Athlete of the Year Quendy Fernandez shaved time off De La Salle University’s Chloe Isleta’s 1:04.13 mark from Season 85 (2022), setting a new standard of 1:03.79.
