Handout/Stallion Laguna FC</div>MANILA -- Stallion Laguna FC advanced to the group stage of the 2025-26 AFC Women&#x27;s Champions League despite losing to Myanmar&#x27;s ISPE WFC in their final preliminary round match on Sunday.The host team overturned a halftime deficit to claim a 3-1 win against Stallion at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon, completing a sweep of their assignments in Group A.Even with the defeat, Stallion still made it as the best runner-up team.Davidson McKenna gave the Philippine side an early lead in the 13th minute, but the home side regrouped in the second half. Goals from Sandar Lin (50&#x27;), San Thaw Thaw (79&#x27;) and Khin Marlar Tun (89&#x27;) completed the comeback for ISPE.Stallion ranked first among group runners-up, just ahead of Thailand&#x27;s College of Asian Scholars -- a squad that features Philippines skipper Hali Long.Long again started for the Thai club in their final preliminary stage game against PFC Nasaf, but they lost 2-1 to place second in Group B.The draw for the group stage of the AFC Women&#x27;s Champions League is set for September 11, with the matches to be played in November.
