Handout/Gymnastics Association of the Philippines</div>MANILA --  Promising Filipino gymnast Karl Eldrew Yulo is now a FIG World Cup champion.The 18-year-old gymnast won gold in the men&#x27;s floor exercise final at the FIG World Cup Antalya in Turkiye on Saturday. After <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/othersports/2026/3/14/ph-s-eldrew-yulo-qualifies-for-floor-exercise-final-in-fig-world-cup-antalya-1021">finishing fourth in qualifications</a>, Yulo ruled the men&#x27;s floor exercise performing a flawless routine with a difficulty of 5.3 and execution of 8.800, the highest in the final.  This marks the younger Yulo&#x27;s first-ever gold medal in senior level competition.  Ireland&#x27;s Eamon Montgomery finished second with a score of 13.833 points, while Rayderley Zapata clinched bronze with 13.333 points. The next leg of the FIG World Cup will be held in Cairo, Egypt from April 3 to 6.
