MANILA — The Blu Girls end their campaign in the 2026 WBSC Women&#x27;s Softball World Cup with a statement win over hosts Peru on Saturday.  The Philippines took down the host nation, 13-0, collecting 10 hits in the first inning and scoring 13 runs to get the victory in just four innings.Charlotte Sales, Skylenne Eleazar led the way in hits for the Philippines, while Sydney Vitangcol, Angelu Gabriel, Francesca Altomonte and Eleazar scored two runs each.  Royevel Palma notched her first victory of the tournament, pitching four solid innings where she gave up only two hits and one walk while recording two strikeouts.The Blu Girls were coming off a huge 8-0 run-ahead victory over Peru in the opening round. But the most unforgettable win for the Philippines was the come-from-behind 5-4 upset victory over World No. 3 Puerto Rico.Despite not advancing to the playoffs.
