The following year, Deyto joined the senior national team for a friendly against Malaysia. </p><p>Deyto became the starting goalkeeper for the Philippines in the 2014 ASEAN Football Federation Championship, when Neil Etheridge and Roland Mueller were unavailable. </p><p>The Kaya FC-Iloilo player was part of the Philippines campaign in the 2024 ASEAN Championship, but a right leg injury forced him to leave the competition early. </p><p>The 36-year-old was called up to the national team pool for the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers last March 2026. </p><p>Deyto officially made his return to international duty against Thailand last August 4, before suiting up in what would be the last time against Malaysia last Saturday. </p><p>&quot;Legend 🔥👏,&quot; former PMNFT goalkeeper Neil Etheridge wrote. </p><p>&quot;Heartbreak 💔 not crying rn 😢,&quot; Deyto&#x27;s fellow goalkeeper Quincy Kameraad said. </p><p>&quot;A local boy to a legend for the country❤️ thank you brother🙏🏻 good luck and Enjoy it 🫶🏻,&quot; Sandro Reyes wrote. </p><p>Deyto made 25 appearances for the national team, including his time with the Philippines U-23 squad in a friendly.</p>
