MANILA — The Philippines kickstarted the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men&#x27;s World Championship on Friday, September 12, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. graced the event and did the ceremonial serve to officially open the 32-nation contest to the world.South Korean boy band BOYNEXTDOOR, Cebuana singer-songwriter Karencitta, and P-pop girl group G22 took the stage, serving the looks and moves to the delight of a loud cheering MOA crowd.The Philippines also proudly joined the parade of flags, with all 32 countries present, ready to conquer the volleyball world.Alas Pilipinas eventually lost to Tunisia in its first match, but not without a fight 13-25, 17-25, 23-25.Bryan Bagunas paced the Nationals side with an impressive 23-point outing anchored on 20 attacks, two aces, and one block to go with six receptions.
