Photo by Angela Davocol/NCAA Philippines.MANILA — Kung Fu Reyes notched a winning NCAA debut as San Beda University opened its Season 101 women’s volleyball campaign on a high note.</div>The Lady Red Spikers got past Lyceum of the Philippines University, 25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 25-18, in their Saturday afternoon clash at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila, behind the strong performances of Janelle Bachar and Angel Habacon.Bachar delivered a game-high 27 points on 24 attacks and three blocks, while Habacon added 23 points on 14 attacks, eight service aces, and a block for the Mendiola-based spikers, who officially saw Reyes — the former University of Santo Tomas mentor in UAAP women’s volleyball — calling the shots for them in the grand-old league.Jeliane May Catubig also chipped in nine points, while Patricia Hiponia anchored the offense with 18 of San Beda’s 26 excellent sets.On the other hand, Johna Dolorito led the Lady Pirates with 13 points in the loss, with Hiromi Osada and Janeth Tulang contributing 12 and 11, respectively.
