PVL Media Bureau"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Volleyball superstar Alyssa Valdez. <em>PVL Media Bureau</em></span></span></span>MANILA — The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) announced Tuesday the plan to hold an Alas Pilipinas Youth Camp in collaboration with volleyball superstar Alyssa Valdez and legendary coach Roger Gorayeb.</div><p>PNVF chief Tonyboy Liao shared that the sporting body is in talks with Valdez and her former Ateneo coach, aimed at expanding her personal youth camp and reach far-flung parts of the country.</p><p>Being the &quot;Face of Philippine Volleyball,&quot; Valdez carries the weight and popularity that could influence the next generation of volleybelles in the country, said Liao.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/volleyball/2026/2/24/pnvf-bares-plan-for-alas-pilipinas-to-select-players-at-pvl-draft-1519"><strong>READ: PNVF bares plan for Alas Pilipinas to select players at PVL Draft</strong></a></div><p>&quot;I decided to talk with Alyssa Valdez, being the face of volleyball in the Philippines, sabi ko, &#x27;we will bring her to these areas, most likely, maraming sasali,&quot; said Liao.</p><p>&quot;Three days ago, I was able to talk with Alyssa in Filoil when they had a game,&quot; said Liao. &quot;We&#x27;ll go to the regions... She&#x27;s very willing to do it.&quot;</p><p>Liao added they will have a sit-down with Valdez soon to iron out the program.
