UAAP Media.MANILA — Far Eastern University (FEU) shook off a slow start to survive Ateneo de Manila University and book its trip to the UAAP Season 88 men’s volleyball finals.</div>The Tamaraws advanced to the championship round for the second straight year after a 25-23, 20-25, 16-25, 25-17, 15-12 win over the fourth-seeded Blue Eagles in their Final Four clash Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.Dryx Saavedra led the Morayta-based squad with 14 points and three digs, while Lirick Mendoza and Amet Bituin added 12 markers each.FEU now awaits the winner of the other semifinal pairing between National University and University of Santo Tomas.Emmanuel Okeke paced Ateneo with 24 points, along with six receptions and five digs, while Kennedy Batas chipped in 15 points and 15 receptions.The Blue Eagles, meanwhile, wrapped up their Season 88 campaign in fourth place.
