MANILA — Jean Asis, the second overall pick in the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft, is elated after <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/volleyball/2026/5/25/galeries-tower-to-pick-first-in-pvl-rookie-draft-1939">Galeries got the top selection</a> in this year&#x27;s iteration of the proceedings.The Highrisers will have the chance to land a generational talent in Alyssa Solomon, who earlier declared for the PVL Draft 2026, following the results of the lottery which was held Monday at the TV5 Media Center in Mandaluyong City.&quot;Super happy ako kasi alam mo &#x27;yun, kami &#x27;yung nabigyan ng chance na pumili na una sa draft pick. Iba &#x27;yung feeling na kayo &#x27;yung nauuna, eh kasi may choice talaga kayo. &#x27;Yun, happy ako for the team,&quot; she said.Asis said they are looking for a player that would &quot;help the team&quot; and ultimately change its course.&quot;Nae-excite naman ako kahit sino yung maka-team ko, as long as na makaka-help talaga siya sa team. &#x27;Yun talaga naman yung nilu-look forward ko,&quot; she said.&quot;Kahit sino &#x27;yung piliin ng coaches, as long as na alam mo &#x27;yun, willing siya na i-help yung team para mas umangat kami.&quot;Asis said Solomon, who trained with Galeries, was easy to work with.&quot;Nung nag-training siya sa amin, magaan siya kasama sa loob ng court. Kasi alam mong maaasahan mo siya sa game or for any competitions na volleyball.&quot;
