MANILA — National University (NU) women&#x27;s volleyball head coach Regine Diego has a reminder to the Lady Bulldogs after they dropped Game 1 of the UAAP Season 88 women&#x27;s volleyball Finals.The defending champions were swept by the redemption-seeking De La Salle Lady Spikers, 23-25, 18-25, 18-25, to kick start the best-of-three title round of Season 88 women&#x27;s volleyball on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.They are still in the hunt, Diego told the NU Lady Bulldogs, reminding them to brush off all emotions after the Game 1 loss.&quot;I told them to hold their heads high because it&#x27;s not the end. Medyo upsetting, pero we have to focus more on preparing than i-feed &#x27;yung masyadong malungkot na atmosphere,&quot; said Diego.The NU tactician acknowledged that the loss was more on the mental side rather than an edge on the physical skills against the Lady Spikers.There were moments during the game where the Lady Bulldogs even led, most notably during Set 1 at the 19-14 mark, but the NU side squandered it to the Lady Spikers.&quot;Everything sa championship is more mental than physical. Everything is pantay-pantay na &#x27;yang skills and everything, mental na lang, so we just have to focus on that again,&quot; said Diego.National U has yet to beat La Salle this season, with the Lady Spikers marching to a 14-0 record and an outright Finals berth.
