UAAP Media.</div>MANILA (UPDATED) — UAAP men&#x27;s volleyball supremacy remains in Jhocson Street as National University triumphed over Far Eastern University to secure its sixth straight championship.The Bulldogs became the first team in the Final Four era to complete a six-peat after sweeping the Tamaraws, 26-24, 25-22, 25-22, in Game 2 of the Season 88 Finals on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.Leading National U&#x27;s charge was Finals MVP Leo Ordiales, who posted 24 points on 23 attacks and one block as the Bulldogs captured their eighth title in the men&#x27;s division and sixth straight since Season 80 in 2017-18.&quot;Sa lahat ng mga naniwala sa amin, para sa inyo &#x27;to,&quot; said Ordiales, who scored three of the Bulldogs&#x27; last five points, including a crucial block that gave them a four-point cushion.&quot;Nagsimula kami, medyo watak-watak yung team, and sobrang na-challenge talaga kami. Pero nagtiwala sila sa coaching staff, and sinubukan lang nila yung isa&#x27;t isa,&quot; added Bulldogs head coach Dante Alinsunurin.Also starring were Jade Disquitado, who fired 13 points, 15 receptions, and five digs, and Buds Buddin, who tallied eight markers, 17 receptions, and two digs.Obed Mukaba was also crucial with six points, including the title-clinching hit, while Greg Ancheta orchestrated the offense with 20 excellent sets and one service ace.Those contributions proved vital late in the match when the Tamaraws threatened to extend the contest after trimming a five-point deficit to just two, 17-19, following a point from Mikko Espartero.Ordiales then took over, scoring NU&#x27;s next three points through a push, a crosscourt kill, and a block to give the Bulldogs a 22-18 advantage.Although Dryx Saavedra and Lircik Mendoza, along with an NU error, helped FEU close the gap to 24-22, Mukaba delivered the match-clinching quick attack from the middle to shut the door on the Tamaraws.Espartero led FEU with 17 points, seven receptions, and six digs. Amet Bituin added 10 points and nine receptions, while Saavedra and Mendoza chipped in eight and four points, respectively.Unfortunately for FEU, those efforts were not enough as the Tamaraws suffered their second straight Finals defeat to NU after also falling to their modern-day rivals in Season 87 in 2025.
