Here are more ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ trivia from the Hong Kong shooting days!

<div><em>[Editor’s note: This story, first published on July 5, 2019 and updated today, is brought to you from our Star Cinema Archives.]</em><br/><br/><br/></div><p>While there are bittersweet pangs that <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/starcinema/articles-news/kathryn-bernardo-alden-richards-reflect-on-returning-as-joy-and-ethan-at-hello-love-again-media-day-23569">Joy (Kathryn Bernardo) and Ethan (Alden Richards)</a> caused us when “Hello, Love, Goodbye” came out in 2019, the joyful things far outweigh the painful, and overall, there has been so much to celebrate.</p><p>One such thing to look back at with pride was the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/starcinema/articles-news/hello-love-again-teaser-gives-moving-tribute-to-ofws-23339">unquestionable hard work</a> of all the people behind the film. That hard work is evident in each of these three important trivia which Star Cinema producer Leo Garcia provided us back in July 2019 via his Instagram page, from their shooting days in Hong Kong.</p><div><strong>Back hug trivia </strong></div><p>Joy and Ethan’s hug-from-the-back junk ride scene was actually a &quot;test&quot; for Kathryn and Alden, because it was a relatively light scene shot right after an intensely emotional one. And based on the photo, they clearly pulled it off! Truly professional! They even scouted buildings that didn&#x27;t have an elevator, so imagine their struggle just to get that perfect shot!</p><div><img alt="" src="https://asset-ent.abs-cbn.com/ent/entertainment/media/star-cinema/film news/2024/10 october/22/hello-love-goodbye-kathryn-bernardo-joy-alden-richards-ethan-back-hug-rooftop-scene.png?ext=.png" class="fr-fic fr-dii"/></div><div><strong>‘Transformer’ scene trivia </strong></div><p>The shot taken in Quarry Bay was also the setting for a famous international film, &quot;Transformers: Age of Extinction&quot; (2014), and the production took to calling that particular “Hello, Love, Goodbye” scene as the &quot;Transformer&quot; scene, whenever it is discussed. Helmed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, it launched in theaters nationwide on July 31, 2019.
