Clusters of Kapamilya artists assembled altogether at the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/starmagic/articles-photos/in-photos-happenings-that-you-must-see-at-the-star-magic-30-all-star-games-15756">Star Magic All-Star Games 2022</a> on Sunday, May 22, at the Araneta Coliseum.The star-studded sporting event returned after a two-year hiatus due to pandemic protocols. And your favorite artists were more than excited to showcase their gaming prowess and off-court entertainment.In the last event in 2019, Daniel Padilla co-captained his team for Men’s Basketball category. This year, the “2 <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/2good2betrue">Good 2 Be True</a>” lead actor traded in the ball for a badminton racket as he competed in the Men’s Doubles Badminton and scored a stunning championship win alongside partner Neil Coleta.Also in the various badminton events were Darren Espanto, AC Bonifacio, Sam Cruz, Karla Estrada, and more.Kim Chiu, Andrea Brillantes, and Chie Filomeno bannered the Star Magic volleyball squad, which also had Analain Salvador, Vivoree Esclito, and Gillian Vicencio, among others. Competing with them was Star Hunt Volleyball team.The Star Hunt boys dominated both of their games in the first basketball event. The main balling tournament featuring the Star Magic Dream Team and Team Showtime was exciting and amusing, with the latter team taking their funny antics from noontime to court.In the video, the players Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, Ryan Bang, Teddy Corpuz, Ion Perez, Eric “Eruption” Tai, “Tawag ng Tanghalan” hurado Nyoy Volante, plus Hashtags Zeus Collins, Wilbert Ross, and Vitto Marquez, together with muse Jackie Gonzaga can be seen entertaining the cheering crowd with hilarious dance performances and drills and comedic moves on the court. Vice Ganda was on the sidelines supporting them.Team Showtime won over Star Magic Dream Team composed of Donny Pangilinan, Ronnie Alonte, RK Bagatsing, and Miko Raval, among others.Besides the showcase of gaming skills and sportsmanship, the whole-day event also doubled as an exhilarating moment for fangirls and love teams. It turns out that even your favorite artists also have their own ‘stan.’BINI Jhoanna and Maloi went all-out in cheering for their ultimate idol, Daniel, with matching posters bearing his nickname “DJ,” which he gamely signed for them. Star Magic beauties like Belle Mariano, Loisa Andalio, Jane Oineza, and Alexa Ilacad (also the muse for Star Magic New Breed team) acted as Donny, Ronnie, RK, and KD Estrada’s cheerleaders.One of the biggest winners in the 30th Star Magic All-Star Games was Team Showtime’s Zeus, who scored a sweet ‘yes’ when he proposed to girlfriend Pauline Redondo.Check out some highlight moments from the brightest sporting event featuring your favorite Kapamilya stars!
