Kaori Oinuma reveals 3 things she's looking forward to in her showbiz career

There&#x27;s no doubt that Kaori Oinuma is one of the promising talents of her generation. From being that &quot;Kawaii Daughter of Japan&quot; who captivated us with her grace and fighting spirit during her <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbsotso">Pinoy Big Brother Otso</a> stint in 2018, she went on to impress us with her skills in acting through her projects in the past five years. And in this episode of Tatak Star Magic Celebrity Conversations, she further opened up about her journey in-and-out of showbiz.Host DJ Jhai Ho commenced the interview by asking about her childhood, to which the Filipina-Japanese stunner imparted that growing up surrounded mostly by men influenced her to play basketball. Just like other kids, she also experienced participating in school beauty pageants and performing during events. She knows how to dance, sing, and play the guitar, and loves to join various extracurricular activities. When she was 13, she and her mom had the opportunity to go to Japan, wherein her mom worked as a caregiver, while she went to school to pursue her studies.Since she didn&#x27;t know how to speak nor anything about Japan, she indeed had a hard time adjusting, and was even sent back to sixth grade for her to acquire more knowledge about the country.Kaori might be miles away from the Philippines, yet her heart still yearns for it. She recalled religiously watching teleseryes and <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbs10">PBB Lucky Season 7</a> everyday, and since then aimed to audition for the next season.As a stroke of fate, the auditions for PBB Otso opened in 2018. She might not have the chance to attend the auditions here in the Philippines when she went home to celebrate her 18th birthday, yet she was able to make it to the Tokyo leg of the Star Hunt auditions. She actually almost missed it since she initially failed to book a ticket going to Tokyo, but the opportunity was apparently for her as she&#x27;s able to score a train seat after a passenger cancelled his/her seat at the last minute.All Kaori&#x27;s efforts paid off as she became an official housemate of PBB Otso. While this required her to fly to the Philippines all by herself and be away from her family, they had been very much supportive of her, especially her mom who always pushes her to become the better version of herself. Just like other mixed race kids, she used to hear remarks from people around her that she has a potential to become a celebrity. But she shrugged all of those off since she was so shy then and really didn&#x27;t see herself entering the industry. Little she did know that this is actually the path the universe has prepared for her. And now she&#x27;s looking forward to staying long in the industry, improving more in her craft, and doing more projects. While she&#x27;s absolutely content with the roles given to her in recent years, Kaori also dreams of levelling up someday by taking on more mature roles.Even though she&#x27;s been blessed with a slew of projects, she confessed that there are actually instances when she gets deeply sad and exhausted, as well as doubts herself. And instead of wallowing in those negative emotions, she just cries and looks back on how she started and keeps on going on. If there&#x27;s one thing she realized about being in showbiz, it would be: &quot;For me, everything takes time. Hindi mo dapat minamadali lahat ng bagay na gusto mong magtagal. Dito sa industry natin kasi parang minsan nakukumpara mo &#x27;yong sarili mo…Pero ako, naniniwala ako na siguro kaya ka late, hinahanda ka ni God para sa better na sa&#x27;yo talaga.&quot;Now that she&#x27;s among the certified Tatak Star Magic talents, Kaori has nothing but gratitude as it helps her hone the skills she has and serves as her solid support system as she continues her showbiz journey.
