Certified dog lover, Angela Ken stressed that pet parenting entails responsibility and commitment. In this episode of Kapamilya Chat, the “Ako Naman Muna” singer introduced her fur babies and shared advice to those who wish to become ‘pawrents.’Her 9-month-old Shi Tzu named Joji charmed us with his high energy. According to Angela, one of the struggles of caring for a Shi Tzu is maintaining its fur, so you have to prepare for that when choosing this breed.“Noong una po mahaba ‘yung buhok niya talagang hindi ko pinapaikli. Pero ngayon po pinaikli ko na kasi mahirap i-maintian lalo na po hindi ako palaging nasa bahay.” When she’s out for work, Angela asks her mom to look after her pets.While Joji is ‘makulit,’ the 6-month-old corgi named Saburo is a shy type. Angela said she was scared the dogs will not get along, but thankfully, they became friends. Joji was even excited to have a playmate.Angela said pet parenting is a big responsibility. These adorable creatures have feelings, too, and therefore need genuine care and affection.“Dapat desidido ka hindi lang sa cute times nila. Hindi lang ‘pag bagong ligo, doon mo lang sila aalagaan. Hindi gan’un. Kailangan marunong ka mag-asikaso din sa food nila. Kailangan marunong ka mag-maintain kasi parang may anak ka na talaga. Kasi living creatures din sila. Hindi pwedeng kesyo animals sila, eh, hindi na maayos ‘yung pagtrato mo sa kanila,” she imparted, adding that it’d be better to have a big space for the pets.Play the video to meet Angela’s pets!
