Shanaia Gomez and Angela Ken are showcasing their musical talents in the “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.” And as newbie theater stars, the two must learn the art of being on their toes at all times. To put their quick thinking to the test, Kapamilya Chat challenged them to play “Tic Tac Toe with a Song.” In this game, they take turns selecting cards from a set, each containing a song challenge, while playing Tic Tac Toe.

Shanaia was first to pick a card. She got one that instructed her to sing a song with the word "corner" in the lyrics. We were impressed with how she was able to invent a song on the spot. However, Angela jokingly accused her of ‘cheating.’

As the game went on, Angela raised the white flag when she noticed that Shanaia was only one move away from winning, so she might as well just give the best song performance. She treated the audience to a soothing rendition of Bamboo’s “Hallelujah.”

Shanaia won the game. But for the sake of fun, she still picked one last card which prompted her to dedicate a song to her mom, so she belted out that Spice Girls hit, you guessed it, “Mama.”
