Basking in his fantasy world wherein he’s the best and the only winner, David (Zanjoe Marudo) feels entitled to turn Jill (Jodi Sta Maria)’s life into a living nightmare. A narcissist to the core, he’s so good at turning the tables that he takes revenge on her even when he’s the one who previously committed adultery and physical abuse. David knew that the first step in getting back at Jill is to find greater proximity. So he went back to Baguio for good bringing Lexy (Sue Ramirez) and their newborn, wreaking havoc on the life Jill and Gio (Zaijian Jaranilla) worked hard to rebuild for the past two years.

Full of conceit, he needs an audience to satisfy his thirst for validation. That’s why he invited everybody including Gio to their housewarming party and sent the latter’s photo to Jill so she’d be worried and come for her son. And when Jill arrived, the arrogant David said she’s just making excuses to see him. But his actions tell that it’s him who’s dying to get near his ex-spouse again.

David’s tactics didn’t escape Lexy’s attention. She thought he is intentionally provoking Jill so the latter is forced to confront him. He replied that Jill doesn’t matter anymore. But, shouldn’t he stop bothering her if he doesn’t really care?

David says he doesn’t think about Jill. But he went as far as sabotaging her career with the help of his friend Doc Claire (Hannah Ledesma), who successfully took over Jill’s position in the hospital.

To feed his ego, David convinced himself that karma does not exist. There was a scene where he bragged about his achievements. He’s proud how he managed to rise above a troubled past without recognizing that he owes a lot to the Luceros.

David would sure take advantage of Jill’s weakness, which is being a mother to Gio. He wouldn’t mind sacrificing Gio’s safety and future for the sake of revenge. He’d poison Gio’s mind about Jill’s closeness with Gabby (Jake Ejercito), so Gio would be compelled to abandon his own mother. He knows nothing hurts Jill more than seeing Gio choose his new family.

In a scene, he took a video of Jill and Gabby seemingly sharing an intimate moment, disrupting Jill and Gio’s relationship. When Jill stormed to his house to take Gio back, they called the security to pick her up and spread a video of her making a scene. But David wasn’t satisfied. He said he’d be happier if Jill completely leaves the city.
