Zanjoe Marudo, playing the male lead character David Ilustre in “The Broken Marriage Vow,” shared tips on how to spot red flags in a relationship.

The first scenario is about a partner who keeps the cellphone sacred, which Zanjoe thinks is just normal. He looks at it as respecting one’s privacy, “unless extra phone ‘yun” like David’s tactic to hide his affair.

“I need space” is a common dialogue among lovers. While it isn’t a deal-breaker for Zanjoe, he said the ‘space’ will either lead to a fresh start or a breakup. “Hindi muna ako mag-iisip. Kung kailangan niya, ibigay mo. Baka naman masyado ka nang nakakasakal. Pero, huwag mong kakalimutan na ‘yung space na ‘yun, ‘yun ang time na mag-iisip siya kung gusto ka pa niya o hindi. So, kailangan ready ka,” explained the Kapamilya hunk actor.

A partner who doesn’t go to bed at the same time as you? That shouldn’t be a big deal according to Zanjoe. We all have different body clocks, remember. What’s red is when the partner starts to sleep in a separate room.

One thing that will give him a serious pause is unreliability or making “palusot.” While he isn’t really an over thinker, unreliability is something that usually proves the instinct right. “Mag-iisip ka na n’un. Baka hindi ka na trip n’ung tao. Kasi ang totoong nagmamahal, lagi kang pakikinggan o uunawain tapos kung may mali sa’yo, ipapaliwanag,” Zanjoe said.
