Hector (Roi Vinzon) was once a hero in Apollo (Richard Gutierrez)’s life, admired for doing brave things for his family. However, after a tragic loss and joining a religious cult that changed his worldview, his character has switched in jarring ways, as shown in this Kapamilya Toplist of scenes from <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/theironheart" target="_blank">The Iron Heart</a>. Trying to revive peace and happiness in his life after his wife Delia (Ana Marin)’s passing, Hector joined a religious group called Yusebia. He met Brother Joseph (JM de Guzman), the leader who claims to honor their Higher Being and is devoted to the strict interpretation of their law.Hector was completely drawn to Bro. Joseph’s charisma and his promise of a place of healing and safety. Having been immersed in the organization’s worship activities, he decided to start devoting his life to Yusebia, even if that means leaving his family – Apollo, Troy (Louise Abuel), and Lia (Althea Ruedas). He was convinced by Yusebia’s preaching to leave their previous world in order to start a new one.He still has no clue that Bro. Joseph only uses flattery to completely win his loyalty. To him, their conversations are nothing but a cathartic experience, as he’s able to talk about his painful past and get encouraged by the assurance that their God looks past their sins. He believes that Bro. Joseph can help save him from doom.Conforming to Yusebia’s principle to surrender material possessions to please the Higher Being, Hector bit by bit donated his properties. His actions started to worry Troy, who asked Apollo’s help to enlighten his dad. However, Hector ignored Apollo’s pleas and insisted that he would serve at Yusebia as a full-time member. After all, he said, he got those material possessions through evil deeds. Moreover, he refused to listen to Apollo’s warning that Yusebia hides some skeletons, literally, after Apollo and Hercules (Igi Boy Flores) unearthed dead bodies within the sect’s vicinity. Because of Apollo’s action, Hector was threatened to get ousted from the group. Thus, he begged Bro. Joseph to let him stay and promised to correct Apollo’s behavior.Hector even took Bro. Joseph’s side and scolded Apollo for what he perceived as giving Yusebia a bad name. He said that no one and no amount of lies could change his views about Yusebia.
