In the five years that “Tonight With Boy Abunda” was on-air, it truly didn’t fail to serve us with amusing and meaningful conversations between the King of Talk and the celebrity guest(s) in every episode.

But apart from simply asking them questions related to a project they’re promoting or the issues they’re entangled in, the TWBA team came up with brilliant ideas to make the interviews extra enticing and entertaining both for the guests and the viewers. While the most popular would be “Fast Talk,” there were actually other gimmicks that we truly enjoyed, one of them being the “Guilty or Innocent” game, which was just a modified version of “guilty or not guilty”.

In that game, the guest would only need to raise either the “guilty” or “innocent” cards depending on the situation given to them. Just when you assume that it was a simple or hackneyed game, wait till you hear the funny and astonishing reasons behind their responses as they pleaded “guilty” to some of the situations given to them. Let’s revisit some of them in this TWBA Toplist feature!

During the promotion of their film “My Perfect You” in 2018, Gerald Anderson and Pia Wurtzbach swung by the show not only to be interviewed but to also take on the fun challenge. Both of them admitted to copying the answers of their classmates during a test way back in their younger days, sneaking out of the house to hang out with friends, not taking a bath due to excessive playing of video games, and giving false hopes to an admirer.

While Gerald fondly recounted that he once failed to pay his fare at a public transportation during his student days, he was too shy to admit that he got late to a call time at work after having sexy time with his girlfriend then.

We may have probably expected her to only answer “innocent” to the situations provided by Tito Boy, but Dimples Romana pleaded guilty to stalking the social media account of her daughter Callie; to confronting another person to defend a loved one, which happened to be a woman who was making moves to her husband, Boyet; and to getting disappointed with a co-actor who couldn’t act.

Host-comedian Ryan Bang showed his daring side when he admitted to reusing a pair of socks that he already wore, using an online dating app, doing a public display of affection with his significant other, being narcissistic, and yearning for someone who didn’t love him back. He even named the female celebrities to whom he professed his admiration but failed to obtain reciprocation. They may have broken his heart, but theIt’s Showtime” host was still grateful for the work opportunities that God has blessed him with.

Who would’ve thought that a woman as beautiful as Yassi Pressman had experienced being peed on by her pet dog? But not only that, as she revealed having the same experience while filming the birthing scene of her FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” character Alyana, wherein the baby peed on her too. Even though she’s already a great dancer, there were still times that she would stumble.

Furthermore, she also charged herself “guilty” for falling in love with a co-actor, yearning for someone she liked to reciprocate her affection, and stalking her crush on social media then accidentally “liking” an old post of him. The actress recounted, as well, an instance when she begged strangers to hug her, which happened on Valentine’s Day of 2018 when they did a social experiment related to her movie, “Ang Pambansang Third Wheel.”

The dynamic duo of Empoy and Alessandra de Rossi then filled an episode of TWBA with good vibes and laughter as they took on the “Guilty or Innocent” Challenge. While both of them were fond of getting massages and were loud and proud singles at the time, it was only Empoy who was ready to fall in love again since Alex claimed that she was “innocent” to it.

Alessandra then answered on behalf of her onscreen partner when they were asked who between them went to work late, to which Empoy defended himself by claiming that he had already changed. The same happened when they were quizzed about who between them forgot lines the most and had more monetary savings, with Alex teasingly compelling Empoy to buy her a comfy pillow. Empoy had the chance to retaliate against her by exposing her as the one who was fond of poking fun with colleagues.

And lastly, Jay-R had a long list of activities that he’s guilty of. He ‘fessed up about getting kicked out of a bar after a confrontation with a man who violently approached him, lying to the girlfriend of a friend to cover him up, going out of the house without wearing underwear, and making out with a girl that he met at a bar.

He also had a couple of revelations related to his now-wife, Mica Javier. According to the R&B Prince, he actually used to spy on her, but only via social media, and even sent nude selfies to Mica as his way of “putting spice to their relationship”.

Which of these “guilty” confessions shocked you the most, Kapamilya?
