EIC On The Move continues its quest to find the best that the world has to offer. Their latest destination? Host Raul Manzano takes us on a journey to Northern Spain—and we’re taken by the many wonders this region has to offer, from the thriving culinary and art scene to unbeatable naturescape to revel in.

During his stop at Santander, the stunning north coastal capital of Cantabria, he made stops in several landmarks to showcase the best places to visit when you decide to go. Apart from adding these destinations to your itinerary, the TV host recommends to pack smart—after all, your days will be packed to the brim. So make sure you’re all prepped and ready!

His top tip is to bring an array of comfortable shoes, as going around Santander will require you to walk long distances. His choice of footwear? The Skechers Go Walk and Skechers Go Run Arch Fit footwear —light and comfortable pairs that aren’t just stylish, but also versatile. These shoes will bring you from a morning jog to your next travel stop, so you won’t have to worry about aching feet, no matter the distance you’re covering.

Raul began his exploration of Santander with colorful cultural immersion, bringing viewers to one of the city’s culinary masters, three-star Michelin chef Jesus Sanchez and Cantabrian anchovies. He also went around Santander’s pride, the Mercado La Esperanza—boasting of countless stalls of Cantabrian delights waiting for you to sample them on.

The host also met with international high fashion designer Audette, who gave him a pick of her marvelous pieces. Delving further into Cantabrian design, he viewed the exhibits in Centro Botín, perfect for art lovers.

Moving towards a more grounded experience (literally), Raul stops by the Campo de Golf La Junquera, a sustainable property that allows golf to be affordable and accessible to all lovers of the sport. From vast greenery, he then proceeded to Cabarceno Nature Park, home to over 100 species of animals. Here, you may choose to explore the different fauna on foot or watch them from above via a cable car ride.

Of course, no Santander trip is complete without basking in the stunning seascape of the city. This is best enjoyed with a cruise—and Raul highly suggests that you do so. Boarding the ECOCAT 2, the only active boat in Spain with 100% zero emission, he enjoyed the salty air and coastal views that you can only see and experience in this part of the world.
