Sa isang ektaryang lupain sa Barangay Tagdaliao sa Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte, nakatayo ang sementeryo para sa mga hayop na ipinagawa ng Japan Davao Friendship Association.Layunin ni Junichi Takatsu, ang chief executive director ng asosasyon, na maging instrumento ang sementeryo para dayuhin ng mga Japanese national ang unang pet cemetery sa Mindanao.Aminado si Takatsu na maraming Japanese national ang takot na pumunta at bumisita sa Davao City o sa Mindanao, kaya&#x27;t naisipan niya at ng kaibigan na si Kazunari Komura na maiba ang pananaw ng ibang Japanese national sa Davao at Mindanao.“We founded here, it&#x27;s not expensive for Japanese people so this can be kind of encouragement to people in Japan to come to Davao and also to Samal,&quot; ani Takatsu.Walong libong hayop ang pwedeng ilibing sa sementeryo. Ang bawat puntod ay may sukat na 40x70 square meters. Dito ililibing ang na-cremate na katawan ng alagang hayop.Sa lapida naman makikita ang larawan at pangalan ng mga alagang hayop pati na rin ang pangalan ng may-ari nito.Para naman sa mga pet owner na walang sapat na budget, may common grave area din ang sementeryo kung saan pwedeng mailibing ang katawan mismo ng alagang hayop pero kinakailangang huhukayin tuwing dalawang taon.&quot;Meron kaming options na hindi makabili ng lot.
