MANILA - Senator JV Ejercito admitted Tuesday he cannot see himself campaigning with his half-brother, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada, in 2019.

Speaking to ANC Tuesday, Ejercito said he still stands by his principle that only one of them should run in 2019. He hopes their father, former president and now Manila Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada, would resolve the issue.

"It will not look good. I push for the anti-political dynasty provision in the SK reform law. I filed the anti-political dynasty bill. I told others it's about time to give each other a chance," he said.

Ejercito is currently considering running in 2019 with his Senate seatmates Sonny Angara, Migz Zubiri, Sherwin Gatchalian, Joel Villanueva, and Nancy Binay. They call themselves the "Third Force."

Out on bail, Estrada earlier said he is keeping his options open in next year’s senatorial election. "If ever I decide to run and if I win, siguro I'll be vindicated," he said.
