MANILA — Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar was officially proclaimed a senator-elect by the National Board of Canvassers on Saturday, May 17.

“I stand here incredibly honored and humbled by this opportunity. I'm grateful to God that we had a peaceful elections with a very good results. And today with all humility, tinatanggap ko po ang responsibilidad na ito at karangalang ito," she said tearfully.

Villar nabbed the 10th spot in the final rankings of the senatorial race, garnering 13,651,274 votes.

This will be her first time to serve on the Senate after two terms as Las Piñas' solon in the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022.

She will be sharing the Senate plenary with her brother, Sen. Mark Villar. Her mother, Sen. Cynthia Villar, will step down from the Senate on June 30.

During the 2025 elections, she ran under the Nacionalista Party with advocacies focusing on education and helping micro and small enterprises.
