Absolutely no Filipinos were affected. You will note from the announcement that the deaths were connected with the Hezbollah and we&#x27;d like to think that there are no Filipinos who are members. So no Filipinos were reportedly injured during the successive days of the attacks,&quot; DFA Undersecretary Eduardo De Vega told ANC&#x27;s Headstart.</p><p>At least 37 people were killed and nearly 3,000 wounded across two days after pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah operatives exploded across Lebanon in deadly attacks it blamed on Israel.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/STCXmxjucis?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>The pagers reportedly came in from Taiwan and explosives were packed in ahead of the pagers&#x27; arrival in Lebanon.  </p><p>Meranwhile, Japanese firm Icom said it had stopped producing the model of walkie-talkies reportedly used in Wednesday&#x27;s blasts in Lebanon around 10 years ago.</p><div><ivs-player data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-vid="3069052"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script></div><p>Some Israeli media outlets and experts said the pager attack bore the telltale signs of a job by Mossad, the spy agency famous for exploits like the early 1970s revenge killings of those behind the deaths of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics.</p><p>John Hannah of the Jewish Institute for National Security of America described the pager attack as &quot;another stunning display of Israeli intelligence prowess&quot;.</p><p>Israel has not commented on the attack.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/world/2024/9/18/hezbollah-vows-to-punish-israel-after-deadly-pager-blasts-1749">Hezbollah vows vengeance on Israel for pager blasts</a></div><div><ivs-player data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-vid="3069159"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script></div><p>Following the attacks, the Philippine government is reiterating calls for Filipinos in Lebanon to evacuate before tensions in the country fully escalate. </p><p>But while that may be the case, De Vega noted that it may be hard to obtain exit visas for some Filipinos because a fraction of them are undocumented or already have expired visas. </p><p>&quot;The majority of household workers are undocumented. They arrived from other countries in the region. Majority are household workers. There are a number of Filipinos who are skilled workers, a few teachers, office workers, hospital workers, people in the hospitality business. One thing I want to emphasize - those [who want to repatriate] tend to be the ones who&#x27;ve barely arrived in Lebanon. Those who have arrived for many years are saying they won&#x27;t go home,&quot; De Vega shared.</p><p>Lebanon is currently under Crisis Alert Level 3.
