The Asia’s Nightingale shared that she is very excited to spend the Yuletide Season in the country together with her husband and daughters. “Very excited. We’ve been in New York for nine years, although umuuwi kami every now and then. Hindi pa kami nakapag-spend ng Christmas (in the Philippines) since 2004, so for eight years 'di talaga kami nakapag-Christmas (dito). So it would really really be an exciting time and day for my daughters to spend Christmas here,” she shared. Most likely, their celebration will be the usual Pinoy Christmas where their relatives will get together and celebrate.

As for her career, the international singer is planning to come up with a new album. “Matagal na akong walang album.”

She said that that she is also looking forward to more work next year. “Of course, sino ba naman ang 'di looking forward for more work to do?” she said. “More work for me definitely would mean more money for tuition for (my) kids.” Lani is based in the US, where she works, so her kids are studying there also. “You know it’s not easy to have kids studying abroad. ‘Yung elementary (and) high school walang problema kasi public school lang naman, pero once your children are in college, that’s when duguan ang bayaran ng kolehiyo.”

Though Lani was one of Regine Velasquez’s special guests in the Asia’s Songbird’s 25th anniversary concert last November 16, Lani will not be able to make it to Regine’s repeat concert this coming January. Regine is holding a repeat for her Silver Anniversary concert after she had to cut her first anniversary concert short for losing her voice due to virus. Lani talked about how much she felt for Regine that time because she also experienced a similar situation in the past. “Ikaw ba naman 25th (anniversary) puno (ang venue), andyan ang audience mo and they’re all looking forward to the (concert) of their idol at ganun ang sitwasyon,” she related. “It’s just a good thing na magri-repeat siya. At least maibibigay niya naman (ang gusto ng fans niya).”
