KC Concepcion's confession about Paulo Avelino draws mixed reactions

While she’s been particularly evasive during past interviews whenever she’s asked about suitor Paulo Avelino, KC Concepcion on Wednesday night, March 5, surprised many people when she took to her Instagram account to confess that she actually has a crush on the Honesto star.

“San man ako makarating basta crush ko parin sya sa cover na to. CRUSH lang naman!! Bawal ang nega. LOL#thatsall #sorrynotsorry #justagirl,” she wrote as a caption to a photo of a shirtless magazine cover of the Kapamilya actor.

The post has since generated 4,670 likes and some 450 mixed comments as of this writing from fans and critics of Paulo and KC’s tandem. A lot of fans weren’t able to mask their “kilig” over the post with some fans even bluntly saying that they actually like Paolo for KC. Some comments even coaxed KC to give her heart “another chance.”

“Life is too short @xtina_ontherocks ang sarap yatang ma in love! And you deserve to be happy! In Arabic KALIWALI ang mga bashers...I love you ? (sic),” a follower said.

While another one wrote, “@xtina_ontherocks Stay happy kace.. take it one day at a time.. I wish ka u na ni paulo avelino pag balik mo aftr u study in NYC.. give your heart another chance to be in love (sic).”

“Sagutin mo na si paolo ng yes. Ang cute niyo (sic),” suggested another commenter.

While many seem to think that Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s eldest daughter can choose to like any guy she wants, there are those who made their feelings apparent that KC’s making a mistake by being linked to Paolo.

“Lagi nalang may anak ang mga nalilink sayo bakit kaya? (sic)” wrote one follower.

While some make it a point to be subtle about their “disapproval,” there were those who sharply let their disappointment known.

“Nagawa nga niyang iwan ang babaeng may anak sila what more sayo? What if you? (sic) Ewan ko lang #disappointed lang kasi ikaw lang ang pinanood ko sa sa Youtube or TV na ewan,” wrote one follower.

“Wag na crush crush, marami pa diyan. Maaawa ka sa sarili mo (sic),” said another.

Paulo has a son named Ethan Akio with former girlfriend LJ Reyes.

As negative comments came in, some of KC’s fans rushed to her defense and lashed out on the “judgmental” commenters.

“@jenny3127 agree! I thnk wla naman problema kay Mega eh as long as mamahalin at pakakainin lng yun anak nya! Un ibang tao lng naman jan daig pa magulang mkpang husga! Kala nyo naman kyo ngpapalaki kay KC! (sic)” said one.

Added another, “It doesn’t matter if may anak! Madami na single dad nowadays and hindi hadlang un para magmahal ng tahimik at tapat. They deserve a second chance naman people. Nagkamali man ng una, malay mo this time hindi na! ah basta KC kung saan ka masaya, go! (sic)”

KC has since deleted the above-mentioned post. However, shereposted the same photo on Friday with the caption: “Reposting: My Crush.@cosmopolitan_philippines #thatsall #justagirl #sorrynotsorry”
