On the first official day of her reign as Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach had her first sit-down interview on Good Morning America with Lara Spencer.

Pia said it feels surreal being Miss Universe. “I can’t wait to officially start my reign,” she told the TV host.

The Cagayan De Oro native also revealed speaking to Miss Colombia on Christmas Day.

“I greeted her on her birthday, which happened to be Christmas Day. I was able to ask her how she is doing. She’s ok. I understand how she feels, I was also concerned with her. I know she is a beautiful young lady, with ah, talented [sic] and I know she will have a lot of opportunities, she’ll do very well, I’m sure,” she shared.

On Colombians who continue to bash her on social media, Pia said she understands how they feel and Filipinos would react the same way should it be the other way around.

However, on the issue two crowns as insinuated by former Miss Universe franchise owner Donald Trump, Pia honestly said would be difficult for two girls to share.

“I think it will be a bit difficult for two girls to share a crown. But I have high hopes that this will be a great opportunity for me, Miss Colombia and the rest of the contestants,” she candidly said.

When asked about being a James Bond leading lady, Pia said it is actually one of her dreams to be a Bond Girl but she is focused on pursuing causes like HIV, relief operations, and cyberbullying.

“Oh yeah, that is one of my dreams, I hope I will be able to do that. But right now I am focusing on, I have a whole year ahead of me, I have this causes I want to put light into like HIV awareness and some other causes I personally believe in like relief operations in places hit by calamities like the Philippines and cyberbullying. These are the things I’d like to talk about more during my reign,” Pia explained.

As for how it feels wearing the Miss Universe crown, Pia said, “It’s a little bit heavy but I’m not complaining. It can stay there for a long time.”
