The show must go on for singer Lea Salonga who, despite her leg injury, still made it to Josh Groban’s Manila concert on Friday night as promised.

In January, Lea revealed that she had gotten into a ski accident during her vacation in Hokkaido, Japan with husband Robert Charles Chien, leaving her with a broken tibia — one of two bones in the lower leg and is the second largest bone in the body.

Currently still in recovery, Lea surprised concertgoers as she entered the stage in a wheelchair, and proceeded to perform a duet with Josh to Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion’s ‘The Prayer’ and ‘All I Ask Of You’ from Phantom of the Opera.

It is to be recalled that following the accident, Lea was forced to cancel her shows in Hong Kong and Singapore, respectively, as per the advice of her doctors.

I’ve just been seen by my doctors and they are saying that the recovery time for this is gonna be pretty long and I’m not gonna be allowed to travel for the next few months,” she said in her Instagram Story.

However, Lea assured fans that she and her team are currently working on the rescheduling of her concerts both in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Once we have all those dates, we will give you updates on here and on LeaSalonga.com,” she said.
