Sa ginanap na virtual presscon ng Viva para kay Claudia Barretto nung winelcome siya ng kompanya last Wednesday, January 20, ay ipinakita ng dalaga ang pagiging straightforward niya sa pagsagot sa ilang mga tanong ng entertainment press. Kumbaga, taglay din ni Claudia ang tatak ng pagiging Barretto na very honest and frank.

“I don’t’ know if you would consider it unique, but what I pride myself in is my honesty,” sabi ni Claudia.

“I think that it’s easier for me to converse with other people because I’m just being honest so I can’t go wrong with being honest, and that’s how I feel as an artist as well.

“As long as I’m being honest, I won’t really be making mistakes because that’s what real, my honesty,” dugtong niya.

Very polite ding sinagot ni Claudia ang tanong kung may advice bang ibinibigay sa kanya ang amang si Dennis Padilla na contract star din ng Viva sa pagpasok niya sa showbiz by saying na mas okey daw na tungkol sa ibang bagay na lang ang itanong sa kanya.

Katwiran ni Claudia, “For me, there are lot of things that people have not come to be aware of yet, especially when it comes to familial relationships. And for me, I’m naturally a very private person, but especially when it comes to family because I’m very protective, not only my peace but also my family's.

“I would love to answer if you have any other question to me, I would love to answer.”

Nagkaroon ng cameo role si Claudia sa Thai hit movie na Friend Zone noong 2019. Gumanap siya dito bilang Pinay singer.

“The project was I was also playing a singer, so my little cameo in the film was me singing so it wasn’t so much acting. It was such a good experience, to be recognized anywhere other than the Philippines is an honor.

“To be on the shortlist of artists that they wanted to be a part of the film, it’s an honor. It was a very cool experience because we shot a music video, we recorded a song and we filmed my cameo in ten hours, like, in one day. So it was a very good and very cool experience for me,” kuwento ng dalaga.

Pero nilinaw ni Claudia na ang paglabas niya sa Friend Zone noon ay hindi nangangahulugan na magiging priority niya ang pag-arte sa Viva.

Samantala, kabado si Claudia sa pagpirma niya ng kontrata sa Viva at sa bagong chapter ng kanyang career bilang singer.

“I feel some kind of nervousness, but it’s more of the excitement because I feel very motivated and very supported, and just ready to really put in the work and achieve the dreams and the goals that I’ve set for myself,” sambit ng bagong Viva artist.
