As one of the hosts of PIE Night Long, Elmo Magalona recently shared his experience becoming a talk show host and being part of the PIE channel's talk, narrative and music block which airs every night.

“Since sanay yung mga tao na nakikita akong mag-perform, this is actually my first venture as a host. Kaya sa lahat dito, feeling ko ako yung pinaka-inexperienced. Pero I wanted to take on this experience talaga para makita yung different side ko naman. And ang ganda ng experience sa Pie Night Long sessions because nakakausap ko din ang iba’t ibang creative minds when it comes to music,” he said.

The 28-year-old singer and actor admitted he is still getting used to his new role as host. “This is the first time where I get to be on the other side since mas sanay na ako to perform or acting as the character. Pero this time I’m the one asking our musical guests how they work on their craft. And since PIE is an interactive channel, nakaka-engage namin kaagad ag mga ka-troPIE. So nagugustuhan ko rin yung puwedeng mag-react agad ang ating mga viewers sa mga naririnig nilang songs,” he added.

In Pie Night Long, Elmo gets to work with singer and former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Vivoree Esclito whom he had already met before joining the PIE channel.

“Actually masaya ako na I got to work with Vivoree kasi before nakasama ko siya in an acting workshop. Very supportive naman yung fans ko and nowadays naman they’re very welcoming naman of any partner na kasama ko. Since me and Vivoree both love music, we worked very easily dito sa PNL Sessions,” he said.

During the presscon for PIE Channel, Elmo also shared what advice he can give the youth when it comes to pursuing their dreams. “Siguro just always follow your heart, yun lang talaga. Pero siyempre that also comes from how I was raised lang by my parents na masunurin lang talaga. But just always follow your heart and follow the good path. Yun lang masasabi ko,” he explained.

PIE is the first multiscreen, real-time interactive TV channel in the country. Viewers in the Philippines can participate and win cash prizes every day. Find the PIE Channel by scanning your digibox.
