After celebrating the New Year in Scotland with her fiancé Jeremy Jauncey and his family, Pia Wurtzbach is enjoying the start of the year with some well deserved downtime after working hard all year round. The 33-year-old beauty queen shared how much she enjoyed prioritizing her me time this month in her post on social media last January 5.

In her post, Pia revealed just how busy she was up until the last month of 2022 and even after completing her first marathon in New York last November.

She wrote, “Morning Musings: So grateful that this holiday season gave me the chance to properly SWITCH OFF. I made sure I finished all my work commitments before I left Manila so I could focus on the art of doing nothing 😌 And it was great..and much needed. No plans. No itinerary. Just chilling. Not even answering messages or emails. Sometimes you need that. To 100% disconnect yourself from the grind.

“Before this trip, I was getting really burned out cos I didn’t take a break after the marathon. I kept going as usual and kept filling up spaces in my calendar thinking it was the right decision. ‘Laban lang!’ as we’d always say. That turned out to be the wrong move. 😟 Naubos ako, kumbaga. I tend to feel guilty for taking time for myself. It happens to a lot of us who love pouring ourselves into the things we love. 💭”

Pia also sent out some positive and supportive vibes to her almost 14M Instagram followers. She added, “:Anyway, I hope everyone’s off to a great and promising start of the year. And I hope those who wrote “get healthy” in their goals / resolutions are still powering through! 💪”
