Having been in showbiz for over five decades now, Maricel Soriano continues to inspire countless actors in the country with her current and past projects, including the recently remastered 1995 classic film Inagaw Mo ang Lahat sa Akin which is the latest installment of Mga Hiyas ng Sineng Filipino.

After attending the special screening last month held at the Manila Metropolitan Theater (MET), the Diamond Star had this to say after the screening.

May matututunan pa sila.”

In the film, Maricel plays the role of devoted eldest daughter to her mother Armida Siguion-Reyna and wife to Tirso Cruz III who lives in the province while her younger sister Snooky Serna got to go to college in Manila and ended up marrying into a higher social class. Among all her co-stars, Maricel was most inspired by Armida’s mentorship on the set.

Very nanay talaga. Tatlo di ba?” she admitted.

During the event, Maricel reacted to rumors that she and Snooky had a real-life rivalry offscreen as well.

“Pag may ganun si Cookie, nag-uusap kami at saka itong movie na ‘to maganda kasi we’re supposed to be actors so we can act this out. Ganyan yan talaga. Mabait siya talaga. Ever since ganun na siya. So sabi ko ako na lang magdadala sa amin sa scene na yun,” she explained.

Looking back on her iconic fight scene in the film with Snooky, Maricel admitted that she was the one who had to do most of the action on camera.

Sobrang sakit,” she recalled.

Inagaw Mo Ang Lahat Sa Akin’s digital restoration was made possible alongside Central Digital Lab and first made its digital premiere in 2020 via KTX.ph after its theatrical release in 1995. Other restored titles from Sagip Pelikula were also featured in the Mga Hiyas ng Sineng Filipino event, including Sana Maulit Muli and Himala.
