Chris Hemsworth will be visiting the Philippines for the red carpet premiere of Netflix’s upcoming film Extraction 2 in Manila.

The Australian actor, who stars as Tyler Rake in the action-thriller movie, made the announcement in a video posted by Netflix on Thursday (May 18).

“I’ll be flying to Manila this June for the premiere of ‘EXTRACTION 2’ where I play Tyler Rake. I don’t want you to miss out so please come join me. It’ll be fun,” said Chris.

“Can’t wait to see you all there soon. Take care,” he added.

Chris will be joined by director Sam Hargrave at the Asia-Pacific premiere of Extraction 2 to be held in Manila on June 5.

In the first installment, Chris played mercenary Tyler Rake who is tasked to rescue Ovi Mahajan Jr., the kidnapped son of jailed drug lord Ovi Mahajan Sr. Things descend into chaos when he is double-crossed so he has to keep himself and Ovi alive as they become the targets of a rival gang. Near the end of the movie, Tyler falls into the river after making sure Ovi was safe, his fate seemingly uncertain.

In Extraction 2, Tyler survives and has taken on a new deadly mission. This time, he is tasked to rescue the family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from a prison.

Chris is joined by Golshifteh Farahani and Adam Bessa, who reprise their roles as Nik Khan and Yaz Khan. Also joining them in the sequel are Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili.
