With his band Parokya ni Edgar scheduled to perform in a concert at the Sorsogon Sports Arena last October 21, vocalist Chito Miranda and his group were still out of town when typhoon Kristine hit the country last week. The storm ended up damaging and flooding major cities which also resulted in many flights getting cancelled, delaying the band’s return to Manila. He wrote, “Earlier, sa Sorsogon: "After 4 days, sa wakas, makaka-uwi na tayooo!"🏼😁 Ending: "Hello, Kalibo!"✌🏼😅 Di kami naka-land sa Manila. After several attempts na mag-land, the Captain announced na hindi talaga safe, and that we needed to land sa Kalibo, instead. Oks na din yun...basta safe.🙏🏼😊Mabuti nalang light lang yung mood dito sa flight namin and everyone is still in a good mood.😊👍🏼 Thank You, Lord, for keeping us safe.❤️”

“Ang tingin namin sa band up to now ay parang amateur garage band; we’re still a bunch of guys toying with guitars. We are not musicians. We’re just a bunch of entertainers. Wala talaga kaming tiwala when it comes to our music. We initially didn’t plan on going mainstream. To be involved in something larger. This is bigger than us. Theater world na ‘to.”
