‘It’s Showtime’ host Lassy mourns passing of father

It’s Showtime host Lassy announced that his father had passed away earlier this week due to an undisclosed illness. On his personal Facebook account, the comedian expressed his sadness and gratitude towards his late father.

Lassy had previously asked for his followers to pray for the continuous healing of his father. 

“Paalam DADA ko. 😭💔 Mahal na mahal kita at mahal na mahal ka namin alam mo yan. Maraming Salamat sa memories at pagmamahal mo sa amin bilang isang ama. Hinding hindi kita malilimutan kahit kailan,” he wrote.

The comedian-host assured his late father that he will take over their family and become the foundation that they need during these trying times.

“Tatandaan ko ang mga huling habilin mo bago ka pumanaw 🙏😭. At Ako na rin ang bahala sa Pamilya natin lalo na kay mama. Kaya wag kang mag alalla. At Gabayan mo lang kami lagi,” he added.

“Hanggang sa muli Dada ko. Mahal na mahal kita,” he ended.

In a separate post, he assured his family that they will be going through this together.

“Kaya natin ito ha. Magtutulungan tayong lahat. Maraming salamat Dada hanggang sa huli kami pa rin ang iniisip mo. Wag ka na mag alala sa'min at kami na ang bahala kay mama. Mahal na mahal ka namin Dada,” he wrote.

Friends and fans of the comedian sent their condolences and prayers to the family in the comment section of the post. Some netizens hoped that Lassy and his family will get through this unfortunate incident.

“Mahigpit na yakap po at panalangin para sa'yo Mah at sa buong pamilya nyo po,” a friend shared.

“My condolences ate.. please be strong queen,” fellow comedian Divine Tetay expressed.

“Alam nya kaya mo... alalayan mo si mama mo. Condolence sa buong pamilya,” another friend added.

Lassy has been previously sharing on his social media accounts how close they are as a family. He previously shared their plans as a family to go to Puerto Princesa during the Holy Week this year. 

“Pupunta kami ngayon ng Puerto Princesa ng Palawan. Magbibisita iglesia kami doon, magninilay-nilay, magdarasal, at siyempre first time kasi ito so sama-sama ang lahat,” he previously shared.
