EXO Suho channels his rockstar side in ‘Welcome to Su:Home’: “I think it’s destiny.”

It was a night made of love between Suho from the K-pop boy group EXO and his Filipino EXO-Ls and Bunnyzens as the Korean star brought his first solo tour Welcome To Su:Home to Manila on Saturday, June 22 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

 

Showing off his rockstar side, Suho brought the Big Dome to loud chants and cheers from fans as he sang his songs, including “Mayday”, “Morning Star”, “Grey Suit”, “Self-Portrait” and “Zero Gravity”.

 

“Kamusta kayo? Kamusta kayo Manila? Ako ay si Suho from EXO. Welcome to Su:Home! Did you miss me? How much did you miss me? You know that I miss you? Sobrang namiss ko kayo. You don’t know how much I miss you,” the Korean star said, flexing the Filipino words he learned.
 



 

Suho also shared how the Philippines has been one of his most visited countries during his solo activities last year. 

 

“You know I’ve been to another country just once,” he said, as per the translator. “(But) I came here twice.”

 

“You are the starting point of the world tour of Su:Home. I think it’s destiny. For real,” he expressed

 

Suho then continued by performing his songs from his solo albums, such as “Cheese”,  “1 to 3”, “Hurdle”, “Curtain”, “Decanting”, among others.

 

 

“I think you heard about the Korean concert before… I made this show out of pouring (all my) heart when I’m with you guys,” he said.

 

He continued speaking in English, “So, I hope that you have to feel comfortable in my home.”

 



 

Besides the energetic stages, Suho also showered his Filipino fans with compliments.

 

“Manila EXO-Ls, you are the most beautiful, sexy, cute, awesome, fantastic, amazing. You guys really know how to enjoy,” he expressed.

 

Suho also pointed out how Filipino fans are good singers, as they sang along with him during his show.

 

He also gave a different version of his group’s iconic songs which made the whole dome roar and cheer for EXO’s brightest leader.

 



 

For his EXO Medley, Suho sang “The First Snow”, “Growl”, “Overdose”, and “Monster”.

 

For the latter part of his Manila show, Suho also expressed his gratitude to the fans who also gave a fan project surprise for him by singing his song “Made In You”.

 

“So, this is the first country for a Suho concert. For the Manila EXO-Ls who has been cheering hard for me, thank you so much. I would like to give a round of applause for you guys,” he said, which made the fans get on their feet.

 



 

Suho was also touched by the message and banner prepared by the fans.

 

“‘Our Suho, when you need strength, come home to us.’ I’m really touched,” he said, reading the banner.

 



 

“You know, I’m so relieved and I’m so happy that Manila is the first country of this tour,” he said as he closed the first leg of his first solo concert.

 

“Magsama tayo magpakailanman. Mahal kita. Manila, mahal kita,” he said in Filipino.

 

“Good night Manila, Philippines. See you soon. I will miss you Manila. I will not forget tonight. Love you!” he added.

 



 

After his show, Suho then went on his personal Instagram page where he posted a photo of him with the gifts that his fans sent him.

 

“I’m touched Manila!! (overwhelmed emoji)” he said.



He also went on live to thank his Filipino fans again for the memorable night of his first tour.

 

“I've been to the Philippines so many times, I feel so happy whenever I come. Thank you for giving me such good memories,” he said as translated by fans.

 



 

He also congratulated the fans who got engaged during his concert.

 

“I mentioned earlier that i saw a video of someone getting proposed during Let's Love right? It became an even more meaningful day to me! Congratulations on your marriage and I wish you to have beautiful son and daughter, beautiful just like EXO~ saranghaja, bye!” he added.

 



 

Suho, whose real name is Kim Junmyeon, announced his first solo concert in Asia last April. He then revealed that he would be extending his show to Western countries, making it his first solo concert world tour.

 

Last May, he released his third mini-album, 1 to 3.
