<p>It may have only been a few days since 2024 commenced, yet some of us have already filled it with fun and unforgettable memories. While some immediately returned to work or school after the holidays, others still got the time to do other stuff.</p><p>Just like the stars in this Kapamilya Snaps episode, who delighted us with their Instagram posts showing how they kicked off the new year with some fun.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Kathryn Bernardo welcomed 2024 in Thailand with family</strong></div><p>Kathryn rang in the new year by flying to Bangkok, Thailand, which also serves as her first-ever travel destination for 2024. Based on an IG post, they arrived there a couple of days before January 1, exploring around the bustling city and gorging on popular Thai street food, such as tom yum soup, crepe, shakes, and ice cream.</p><p>Apparently, Kathryn couldn’t get enough of the tom yum soup as she didn’t just have one, but a few bowls during their trip, as what she shared in another post.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Robi Domingo finally tied the knot with non-showbiz partner Maiqui Pineda</strong></div><p>After years of dating, Robi and longtime girlfriend Maiqui finally exchanged “I dos” last January 6 through a church ceremony held at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador in Pulilan, Bulacan.</p><p>It was indeed a star-studded wedding, with Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Joshua Garcia, Belle Mariano, Donny Pangilinan, Darren Espanto, Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Bianca Gonzalez, Gary Valenciano, and Melai Cantiveros being part of the guest list and entourage.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Anne Curtis is on a vacation with her family in Australia</strong></div><p>As soon as the holiday break began, Anne and her family immediately flew to Australia to have their vacation. Based on the photos and videos she posted, she and husband Erwan Heusaff brought their daughter Dahlia to Western Australia for some adventure, which included basking in the sun, reveling in the beauty of the sea, trying out different food, and embarking on various rides at an amusement park.</p><p>Of course, they had plenty of picture-taking, with the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></em></a> host jokingly shared in one of her posts what it was like to take photos with their <em>unica hija</em>. “Rule #1 when taking a pic with your bub - you have 1 chance. Give your best <em>na</em>,” she wrote.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Jhong Hilario brought Sarina to a musical skating show</strong></div><p>After their trip to Japan, where they welcomed the new year, Jhong and longtime partner Maia took their daughter Sarina to watch the popular musical “Disney On Ice” for the first time. Of course, they made sure that she would be dressed in her best by having her wear an Elsa-inspired gown that he matched with a sparkling tiara. The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></em></a> host and her partner made sure that they would be in the front seat so that Sarina could see everything that’s happening on the rink.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Maris Racal started the year in a peaceful and funny note</strong></div><p>While others had already gone back to work a few days after the holidays, Maris went on a quick trip outside the metro to have some quiet time and nature appreciation. And after days of tranquility, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/cantbuymelove" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Can’t Buy Me Love</u></strong></em></a> star tickled the imagination and funny bones of netizens anew when she posted photos of her while presumably jotting down her goals for 2024, which were eventually turned into memes by some Twittizens.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Elisse Joson and McCoy de Leon spent the first week of the year in Japan</strong></div><p>Another celebrity family to have welcomed 2024 in Japan was reel-and-real-life couple Elisse and McCoy and their <em>unica hija </em>Felize. After spending some time in El Nido, Palawan, they flew to Japan to spend the first week of the year there along with the family of Nikko Natividad.</p><p>With McCoy’s impressive skills in photography, the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/paraiso2023" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Pira-Pirasong Paraiso</u></strong></em></a> actress and their whole entourage had aesthetic shots that definitely perfect for the ‘gram.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte were also in Japan</strong></div><p>And it wasn’t only the families of McCoy and Nikko who were in Japan over the first few days of the year, but also their friends and Elisse’s co-stars in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/paraiso2023" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Pira-Pirasong Paraiso</u></strong></em></a><strong> </strong>Loisa and Ronnie. The lovely reel-and-real-life sweethearts explored Osaka and Kyoto, and certainly didn’t miss Universal Studios Japan.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Jane de Leon had Japan as her first travel this 2024, too!</strong></div><p>It seemed that Japan was the top travel destination to commence the year for several Kapamilya celebrities as Jane was also there. Jane uploaded photos from one cold but magical night in Kyoto and we’re wondering to whom she was able to share it with.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Kim Chiu was with her beloved “momsys” in the beginning of the year</strong></div><p>As we all know, Kim and Bela Padilla were among the few personalities present during the intimate wedding of Angelica Panganiban with Gregg Homan in the United States last December 31. Thus, she got to celebrate the New Year with them, watching a massive firework displays at the rooftop of a tall building and partying all night together.</p><p>“Start of a new year, new chapter to open, new beginnings and new new. <em>Kung ano man yun</em>. Lets go! Special shout out to my momsys for giving me the best core memory ever! Love you both so much! [sic]” she wrote in the caption of one of her posts.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Kyle Echarri hopped on a fun road trip around the US</strong></div><p>Taking a break from the dramas in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/seniorhigh2023" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Senior High</u></strong></em></a><u>,</u> Kyle apparently went on a memorable road trip around the United States over the first few days of 2024. Based on the snaps he posted, he visited the Navajo Tribal Park in Arizona and the Zion National Park in Utah.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Alexa Ilacad dyed her long tress red</strong></div><p>The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/paraiso2023" target="_blank"><em><strong><u>Pira-Pirasong Paraiso</u></strong></em></a> star indeed astonished her followers on IG when she launched her red hair. Alexa captioned one of her posts, “Officially a REDHEAD” and went on to disclose that it’s actually her dream hair.</p><div> </div><div><strong>Charlie Dizon and Carlo Aquino were “Lost in Los Angeles”</strong></div><p>For the first few days of 2024, Charlie and Carlo soaked up some “LA vibes” as they spent it in Los Angeles, California.
