TV host Bianca Gonzalez called out a follower who called her "anorexic" in a comment on her Instagram post, and in the process revealed a condition she recently had to grapple with.

The follower left the comment on Gonzalez's post last Sunday, which showed her different looks and styling for work in the past week.

Gonzalez, who is nearly five months into her second pregnancy, received several uplifting comments, with many noting her "glow" as an expectant mom. The one "dangerous" comment, as Gonzalez termed it, understandably did not go unnoticed.

Tagging the follower, Gonzalez answered: "Hyperemesis gravidarium (sic): look it up. You should be ashamed for throwing around a dangerous and serious term like 'anorexic' without knowing ano ba talaga pinagdaanan nung tao. Stop normalizing calling people names just because trip mo mang-bash. Tsk, tsk, tsk."

Hyperemesis gravidarum, according to the American Pregnancy Association, is a condition "characterized by severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss, and electrolyte disturbance."

About 70 to 80 percent of pregnant women experience morning sickness, the pregnancy wellness group said. A fraction of this may also have extreme morning sickness, medically referred to as hyperemesis gravidarum.

Gonzalez, a self-help book author who has also transitioned to vlogging, has been documenting her pregnancy journey on social media, including a June 2 update where she first revealed enduring the extreme morning sickness.

"This is pretty much how I looked every single day during the first four months of my pregnancy," she wrote at the time, referring to an apparent expression of exhaustion.

She explained: "It was all day, all night sickness. I would vomit 8 to 10 times every day and I lost 9 pounds... I still went to work, did meetings, saw friends, and none of them had any idea that my bathroom breaks would be to vomit. I would always bring wipes and mouthwash everywhere I went."

In comparison, she said her prior pregnancy with her and husband JC Intal's "panganay," two-year-old Lucia, was "so easy" and "effortless."

She credited her doctor for being able to "focus on the brighter side of things," as she was reminded that her "nausea was a sign that my pregnancy hormones are strong, therefore, good for the baby."

Addressing her followers, she concluded, "Cheers to all other mommas who are going through the same thing, or who have been through this, too! Truly, the toughest job in the world."
